In the Atlantic Pyrenees department, in the commune of Bésingrand,
Synapsun accompanied the contracting and supervised the production and delivery of 26 780 photovoltaic modules from the manufacturer GCL for the “CLN” solar park developed and built by TotalEnergies.
In total for this project, nearly 36 000 photovoltaic modules were installed on trackers or fixed structures for a total power of 15 MWp.
The plant, which will be commissioned in September 2021, will generate 20 GWh per year, equivalent to the average annual electricity consumption of over 14 000 people.
This project is the winner of the Sol 4.5 call for tenders issued by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).
TotalEnergies wanted to involve the inhabitants of the department concerned by the project as well as the neighbouring departments (Gers – 32, Landes – 40 and Hautes-Pyrénées), thus allowing citizens to participate in the energy transition of their territory.
The park covers a 23-hectare plot of land and allows for the rehabilitation of a former industrial wasteland degraded by activities related to the chemical industry.
The constraints inherent to this site, in particular the underground networks linked to neighboring industrial sites, led Totalenergies to choose to install the modules on above ground structures on ballasts.
