GCL est un acteur incontournable de l'industrie solaire.
Il fait partie du Top 3 mondial des fabricants de polysilicium , et compte parmi les fournisseurs de premier rang de wafers et de modules.
En 2022, le fabricant disposait d'une capacité de production en modules PV de 19 GW. Elle a atteint 30 GW fin 2023.
Le groupe est aussi producteur d’électricité avec une capacité installée cumulée de GCL-ET, en exploitation et en construction qui dépasse désormais les 4 000 MW (sans compter les projets proposés), dont plus de 90 % sont d'origine renouvelable.
