TCL modules arrive on Synapsun.com
We are pleased to announce the arrival of TCL photovoltaic modules on Synapsun.com. TCL is a vertically integrated manufacturer from ingot to module. Its subsidiary TZS (Tianjin Zhonghuan semi conductors) is one of the leading suppliers of wafers with nearly 190GW of capacity, i.e. around 30% of world capacity. This manufacturer stands out for being part of a consumer electronics giant, which provides it with diversified sources of revenue.

- Elimination of inter-cell space : More active surface area, resulting in higher efficiency and increased power.
- Reduced risk of microcracks and hotspots : The reduced size of the cells limits mechanical stress, reducing the risk of microcracks and overheating. This increases a power plant's yield.
- Greater resistance to extreme conditions : The large 2382 x 1134 mm modules are designed to withstand hailstones of up to 45 mm, guaranteeing greater durability in adverse weather conditions.
Who are TCL?
Before acquiring Maxeon / SunPower, one of the historic leaders in photovoltaics, TCL had already acquired TTK Home Appliances (Huizhou) Co Ltd, founded in 1981, which started out manufacturing audio cassettes before diversifying into televisions, household appliances and then solar energy.
With sales set to exceed $33 billion by 2023, the group's financial strength reinforces the credibility of its commitment to solar energy.
The group recently strengthened its international presence by launching TCL SunPower Global, a new independent solar entity that combines its expertise with SunPower technology.
