Eco Contribution
The eco-contribution is a mandatory environmental contribution applied to electrical and electronic equipment, including photovoltaic panels, inverters, accessories, and batteries. It helps finance the collection, sorting, and recycling of end-of-life products, ensuring responsible management in accordance with European requirements (WEEE Directive).
Photovoltaic (PV) modules
Every new photovoltaic panel sold in France is subject to an eco-contribution. In France, this process is managed by Soren, a non-profit eco-organization. The amount of the eco-contribution is determined based on the weight and technology of the panel in order to fairly reflect recycling costs.

Inverters, batteries, and accessories
Inverters, accessories, and batteries are classified as Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). In accordance with French and European regulations, their collection and recycling are supervised by the eco-organizations Ecosystem and Ecologic.

Important note : The eco-participation amounts applied to batteries incorporate the eco-modulation criteria defined by the industry, such as repairability, availability of spare parts, and disassembly. Since the internal architecture of these batteries has a direct impact on end-of-life treatment costs, these factors are taken into account in the calculation of the official scale.
