Project presentation
In Morocco, SYNAPSUN supported the delivery of 22,680 580 W Canadian Solar modules for Africa’s largest floating solar power plant, developed and built under the coordination of H2air PX for Tanger Med Utilities. Commissioned in July 2026, this 13 MWp solar power plant is located on a reservoir in a mountainous valley and contributes to decarbonizing the operations of the Tanger Med port complex.
Spread across three floating islands, the installation covers a total area of 72,870 m² and generates the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 17,000 people.
