Project presentation
At the end of 2021, Leclerc d'Avermes (03-Allier) inaugurated a photovoltaic carports for its visitor parking. In total, the carports cover an area of 22,000 m² and will generate 1.6 GW of electricity per year. The project, developed and built by EDF ENR, required 4,320 photovoltaic modules supplied by Synapsun.
The installation will not only cover part of the shopping center's energy needs (around 30% of non-heating electricity consumption), but also reduce its electricity bill. From 2022, 90 tonnes of CO2 emissions will be avoided every year.
The shadings provide comfortable parking for the company's customers, protecting their vehicles from rain and sun. They also offer a recharging solution for electric cars, with 70 charging points installed for this purpose.
The Leclerc group plans to install 200 of its parking by 2025.
